Thomas Kelley

Dr. Tom Kelley is a Professor in the Department of Criminal Justice at Wayne State University in Detroit where he teaches the Three Principles in his Child Abuse and Neglect, Juvenile Justice and Delinquency, and Correctional Counseling Methods classes. Also, Dr. Kelley is Licensed Clinical Psychologist and uses Three Principles intervention exclusively with clients in his private practice at Reflections Counseling Center in Troy, Michigan. Dr. Kelley has published over two dozen peer reviewed papers and empirical research studies regarding the Three Principles and the efficacy of Three Principles intervention in respected academic journals including the new American Psychological Association sponsored “Journal of Spirituality in Clinical Practice.” At present, Dr. Kelley is a principle investigator for several research studies regarding the efficacy of Three Principles intervention with prison inmates and “high-risk” youth. Dr. Kelley has written two Three Principles books for the general public. His latest book is called “How Good Can You Stand It? Flourishing Mental Health through Understanding the Three Principles.”
